Singapore, predominantly having equatorial climate has one of the dense rainforests in South East Asia. There are two wildlife reserves in the city.

Bukit Tumah Wildlife Reserve: This wildlife reserve was dedicated to nature lovers and wildlife present in it, in the year 1951 when Singapore government put on effort the "Green World" initiative. This reserve has a wide range of flora and fauna such as the Rattan,Figs, Carpenter Bees and the rarest species of Centipedes and birds. The Bukit Tumah wildlife reserve has a wetland on the centre of it, which is a house for many migratory birds. One can have fun time, Bird Watching here. This area is often flocked by many Wildlife Photographers who use the hotspot to their talents. The wildlife reserve attracts millions of visitors every year. One of the most interesting things about the wildlife reserve is that, the wildlife reserve exists even though there is mass urbanization in the island.

Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve:
It is a nature reserve that is remarked as one of the biggest wetlands in South Asia. The wetland reserve is a home to many migratory birds and also it is recognized to be one of the most flocked places in the planet by birds fearing the northern hemisphere's drastic cold.Wildlife here includes the rare Water Monitor Lizard, the Crab Eating Macaque, and many others. The crab- eating Macaque, considered to be an endangered species lives dormant here. This attracts million of visitors worldwide.

The Jurong Birdpark: Located across a massive 50 hectares, this is considered to be the home of many residents of Singapore, who wish to have a lovely time seeing the resident birds here, away from the traffic flocked streets of Singapore. Inside the birdpark, you can shop/eat and watch serene beautiful birds flocking their wings bright to the sunlight. Don't miss this bird park if you're on a visit to the city.
